National Preparedness Month
9/9/2020 (Permalink)
September is National Preparedness Month (NPM). This is recognized every year in September to prepare and promote family and community disaster planning now. This was introduced in 2004 and is observed each September in the United States. SERVPRO has joined with other agencies such at the American Red Cross, The Weather Channel, and the EPA to promote safety and disaster preparedness for families across the country.
Disasters have no boundaries – everyone is subject to a disaster but being prepared can be a matter of life and death. Being prepared and having a plan is essential for the safety of you and your family. Depending on the type of planning caring for you family and belongings should be your first priority. Follow your local news channels, have extra food and water on hand. Keep important documents such as insurance policies, birth certificates and important paper documents in a safe area that is easily accessible. Most of all be prepared!
