Hurricane Ida Making Landfall Hurricane Ida making landfall on the Coast.

Hurricane Season started a few months back - but we are now in peak season of the potential of a Hurricane and the Gulf has been battling Hurricane Ida for several days now. The hurricane hit Louisiana as a Category 4 hurricane brining 150mph winds and damaging downpours of rain.  Our only line of defense is to be prepared.  Plan your evacuation route and pay close attention to news sources and local government officials. Check locations of the nearest shelters and make sure if you have pets, they will be welcome.

Keep non-perishable emergency supplies on hand and keep a supply of batteries, candles, supplies to protect your home, drinking water, first aid kit and food items that do not need to be cooked or kept refrigerated.

Take any necessary steps to protect your home by covering windows with plyboard and securing patio furniture inside an area of your home. Keep you and your family safe by being proactive and prepared should a hurricane strike your area.
