Fall Planting Time

9/23/2021 (Permalink)

Blooming Fall Mums Time to start planting your Fall perennials!

Its starting to feel like Fall here in the South – cooler temperatures – milder days and no humidity makes for the perfect start to the fall seasons.  Just like in early spring we all get excited to start planting our fall perennials – you can drive down most any street and see bales of hay, pumpkins, and mums! The colors can light up most any pathway – but when should you put those mums in some dirt? Technically you can plant your plant your perennials any time before the first frost of fall. If you are using your flowers for mere decorations and they have start to look like you’ve killed them they may just be dormant. Plant them anyway! They may surprise you this time next year.  Happy Planting and enjoy the beginning of Fall.
