Time to Check your Chimneys

If you haven’t flipped the switch over to heat over the past few weeks, then you most likely live near the coast or you’re holding out to make the switch as long as possible. Whatever the reason winter in coming so before you get the home fires burning make a point to get your chimney checked and inspected. The National Fire Protection Association recommends that chimneys, fireplaces and vents should be inspected at least once a year. Having your chimney inspected greatly reduces your chance of a chimney fires – as the sweep removes debris that has deposited along the chimney walls and removes any animal nests that may been accumulated over the spring and summer months.
